Whether at home or wandering the nearby nooks and crannies with their many things to do on the island, at LUCY'S LANDING you can enjoy every second of your vacation.

On Oak Island you can bask in soft coastal breezes that play across your gently bronzing bare shoulders. It is here, at Lucy's Landing, where there is true sense of peace and serenity. What a life!

After a day of sea splashing on the beach, go for long, leisurely walks by the marsh, or wander over to the ice cream store only a few blocks away. Bring your bicycles and explore the entire island. Many varieties of island shops and nightlife provide active possibilities close by, too, plus so much to do in nearby Southport and Wilmington. Don't forget that Myrtle Beach is only an hour away. When you are finally ready for some lounging around in your vacation home, sit back and watch the island's ever-changing wildlife. If you tempt the many species of birds with bird seed (bring your own mix or buy locally), you can watch a wide array of colors and species feeding at your pine tree bird station in the wooded lot next door. We are on a migrational path, so with patience you will find surprises at any time of the year. For even more birding adventure, explore nearby nature preserves.

So, whether you want high-action water sports; land sports such as skate boarding, bicycling and golf; shopping; or just quiet time for reading and bird-watching, you can have it all here at LUCY'S LANDING. Come enjoy our home away from home, where it is sooo quiet, you won't believe your ears!

Remember, you are welcome to bring your sweet dog, who will have the entire fenced in back yard where he or she can frolic in the fresh ocean air.
